Dany Angove is one of Western Australia’s top chefs. He has managed several top quality establishments and is currently settled at Leeuwin Estate as head chef.
Dany’s career began in 1990, completing his apprenticeship at “The Ord Street Café” and “Sunnies” in Perth. Leaving WA for a 5 year stint in Brisbane where he managed the kitchen at the well known “Continental Café”. Gaining invaluable experience, Dany moved back to WA and undertook a sous chef position under “Daryl Wilmot” at “Louises”. By this stage Dany had established his own style and was a much sort after chef.
Dany was approached and asked to help open a new venture in Margaret River – VAT107, which opened to critical acclaim. Dany spent 6 years at VAT, during which time he helped open VAT107’s sister restaurant in Bunbury “VAT 2”.

At Leeuwin Estate, Dany has helped regain the Gold Plate Award for best restaurant within a winery, manages to produce outstanding food for 600 people at the annual Leeuwin Estate concerts and holds regular cooking classes and degustation dinners.
Dany has 2 children, and lives with his partner, Michaela in Margaret River. He continues to strive for excellence and maintains a strong passion for everything he does.
